IPC Media’s leading horticultural publication AMATEUR GARDENING magazine commissioned us to produce their first Simply Gardening DVD.

The DVD, which is available to purchase from the magazine, covers a range of topics from the best types of plants for your garden, how to keep pests away and even demonstrates the best way to recycle your waste.  Shot digitally in high definition widescreen the DVD was produced over 4 days at a range of locations including Knoll Gardens and the magazine’s editor’s own allotment.  One highlight of the production was the use of SteadiCam which provided movement around the gardens allowing the presenters to walk and talk amongst the plants.  The DVD features all of the magazines writers and has a running time of 1 hour. 

The DVD is the first in a series of seasonal top-tip DVDs which the magazine hopes will widen the readership and offer an extra insight into the world of gardening.  Simply Gardening has sold over 1000 copies by July 08 with follow-up DVD’s expected later in the year. We managed the entire production process taking their ideas from the script to the screen. The DVD is also available on Amazon.co.uk
