Documentary Won’t Go and Gets On-Line
After filming for over 5 years, White Lantern Film’s Georgina Hurcombe launches a web site to support her new documentary I WONT GO following a determined pensioner Oli who just won’t go.
The documentary explores how Oli lives in a condemned rat infested home but refuses to leave. After following Oli for over 5 years the film reveals a unique intimate insight into our increasingly aged population from a young film maker’s perspective. The film reveals many themes through questions such as: what it is like to live alone at an elderly age, and why is someone like Oli left to live in a condemned rat infested home?
The film is supported by a V-CashPoint project called BRIDGING THE GAP which aims to provide a unique opportunity for young people to engage in the lifestyles of the older generation by exploring their wants, needs and dreams. At the same time, the project will open up the lifestyles of the older generations to young people, providing a unique opportunity for both generations to explore the rich diversity at each end of life.
Both the project and the documentary can be accessed at www.iwontgo.com
