A pioneering partnership involving young film makers and celebrity actors representing teenage life in Bournemouth, is seeking funding for an Oscar themed premier evening. Pier Pressure is a collaboration between White Lantern Film, Bournemouth Millennium Volunteers, Media Box, Wave Arts Education Agency, the Youth Opportunity Fund and Fire FM; however the team still needs support from local businesses to stage the Hollywood-style black tie premiere, which is due to take place at the BIC in November.

Sixteen-year-old director Mikel Iriarte, said: “I could not get over all the professional film kit we had and the scale of the project.” The films, which will be broadcast later in the year on ITV Local, Propeller TV and the Community Channel and will be entered for international film festivals.
